Quote for the Day: Not in Vain
"You have gone through all that you have been through because of who you are. Because of what you needed to know. Everything you have done and been through is valuable and important. In order to be who you are, to know what you know, to be where you are in this moment, you needed to go through what you went through." -I.Vanzant

A Heartfelt Creation
Peace Family,
I wanted to share with you all something I made out of necessity and inability to really find it anywhere else. If you follow my YouTube channel, you know that I wear my hair in a multitude of styles. I like to switch it up and keep it creative. However, it can be difficult finding ways to keep up all these different styles. Well, the scarf I made below has really been a saving grace lately. I got a sewing machine for Christmas and I have been putting that thing to work! lol Check out the video below. Cee ya in the next post!

Interview: Crystal of Aesthetic Femme!!
Peace Family,
I had the wonderful opportunity to interview Miss Kris Too, formally known as Miss Kris New within the you tube community, upon her anticipated return to both YouTube and her online store!! She has designed so many awe inspiring pieces over the years and made quite a name for herself. Whether you are new or true to Miss Kris Too I think you will enjoy this interview lol Yes, I'm corny check it out below :)...
1. It is so good to see you back on the tube and with a new website! What inspired you to start Aesthetic Femme and how is it different from your previous site?
Aw! Well thank you for the warm welcome back! I truly appreciate that, but to answer your questions, I was inspired to start Aesthetic Femme because I was always looking for a way to cater to different women with different styles. Because my previous site BEANIE4ME didn’t really do that (it was more so just focused on crocheted items than anything), I felt like I had a limit on what I could do creatively. Aesthetic Femme was actually a collection on BEANIE4ME’S site and because I loved the name so much I stuck with it as my permanent online boutique name. What you’ll find different on A.F. is most definitely the product. My goal is to appeal to every crowd. So you’ll see come things that were inspired by Greek anthropology and other cultures, funky pieces, girly pieces, party pieces etc… There won’t just be jewelry on the site either, there will be paintings and prints and lamps and anything I see fit as appealing for my customers. Aesthetic Femme will be universal… That’s my plan.
2. You've always made very beautiful quality jewelry. Do you plan to experiment with any new materials (metals, stones, textures etc) or styles?
Oh yes of course! I’ve been researching new materials to use for months… researching never gets old to me… I’ve even made some pieces on the site now that are made from different materials then I’d normally use. In the world of jewelry making and making that your business you have to know of all things you can use to make your work stand out… you have to be innovative and on your toes at all times. So I’m constantly trying to see what materials are great to use and make my own.

I eventually will be launching a very small beauty/skincare line sometime this year as well… I love things for my skin (and every other woman I know does too!) and with the research that I’ve done I know I can make that happen and it be successful. It’s just going to take a little time to perfect before I share with the world.
3. I noticed that you cut your hair. For those who do not know, can you share your reason for doing a second big chop? The reasoning behind my 2nd big chop is that of, I wanted my true texture back in my hair and also there was a part of me that actually MISSED my hair being short! lol Some may think I’m crazy for doing that, especially considering the fact that I cut my hair on my 5th year of being natural… (yes… 5 years…lol) but I don’t regret it at all… I dyed my hair honey blond in May of this year and got tired of it in August. With my hair having gone through that process of bleaching to achieve that blond look it soon lost its original curl pattern and just wasn’t the same for me. I missed my beautiful black hair… and because I only see my hair as simply being hair… and knowing that it WILL grow back… I had no issue in cutting it… I’m happy…
Really the goals I have for my hair is to just maintain it with more organic products and to steer clear from so many different store bought products in my hair….
I’ve been doing the ” no poo” baking soda method lately, following up with the Apple Cider Vinegar and Iv’e noticed a change in my hair… it’s a lot more shiny and super strong. I put a little Olive Oil mixed with a scented oil extract in my hair for scent and shine, and spray a little Aloe Vera Juice in my hair for moisture. So far so good… I’m monitoring the growth silently but will post a few updates on YT here and there for those curious on my growth process as well.
5. I know you decided to go completely blond for a while before the second big chop and it was so fly! How did you care for your color treated hair? Any specific routines, products, or techniques?
What I did to treat my hair while it was blonde were pretty simple steps… I just used a color treated shampoo, kept it conditioned and moisturized at all times… that’s the key to not having your hair break off which EVERYONE thought my hair would because I dyed it blonde lol… but nope that wasn’t the case at all with me and that’s simply because I took care of it…
6. Where can we find more of your beautiful jewelry and hair advice?
You can find my work on my online boutique AESTHETIC FEMME www.aestheticfemme.bigcartel.com and you can find my hair advice amongst other things on my new Youtube Channel: Misskristwo
