Coming Soon!

Peace Family,

I have missed communicating with you all and wanted to at least pop in and let you know whats next for HoneyCee.blogspot.com. So much has transpired since my last post. I moved, went to Cee Janet Jackson live in concert at Radio City Music Hall, and I've read some really interesting books even though I don't know how I managed to find the time to lol Any who, I have a few posts in the works that convey my feelings through all these experiences and I can't wait to share with you. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my posts. I read every comment and respond. It is truly my light on a dimly lit day. Feel free to visit my ETSY shop. I'll be back soon :) As always, I wish you all peace, light, and much love!

Motivation Monday

The one thing we can not afford to do is loose faith. No matter how turbulent the circumstance, Cee it as a set back and not a complete deterrent. You are still on your way!:)

Nails of the Week

I know this post is late, late, late. But I had to come and share anyway:) The pic above is of my nails for the week and I have to say I really like them. It was simple to do and cheap!! I used a clear base coat, old pearl color, sticky patterns from Walmart, and a layer of clear top coat. That's it! Cheap and easy. No chipping or pealing yet. I recommend this over weekly/biweekly visits to the nail salon. It takes less than twenty minutes (including drying time), forces you to steal a few moments to nurture and care for yourself, and saves at least $15 dollars. Those of you who have been following HoneyCee.blogspot.com for a while know that I am a kind of "do it yourself" type of person. Here I have posted homemade recipes for facials, hair treatments, and food. Feel free to check out those posts if you like. I'm working on a post for Women's History Month that I think will be really cool. Trying to decide if I should make it all inclusive of the women I admire most or do individual post. What do you think? Feel free to leave a comment below I love hearing from you all. Cee you in the next post!

Song of the Day: Sade "Couldn't Love You More"

It is the melody. It is the actual music. I would probably still love this song if it didn't have any lyrics or Sade's soothing voice belting all over it. It is just so relaxing and beautiful. Allow me to flash back for a moment, (picture it Sicily 1936 in my sophia voice) lol jk :) But seriously, I bought Sade's greatest hits in the 10th grade, this particular song is not on it, but the CD is fierce. Her band is AMAZING! She is so honest in her music and I have been completely in love with her work since purchasing that CD. I actually purchased it a few times because I lost it during my many college moves. I encourage you to pick it up. If your having a stressful day or just want to unwind, grab a glass of wine and turn this the CD UP! I promise you it will be a truly cathartic experience. You will fall in love, out of love, and deeply in love with your self after listening to it. Sade really puts it all out there with her music and in the most unapologetic way.  The emotion is raw and beautiful and uplifting. I couldn't ask for more. Check out the song below. Let me know what you think and have a great evening.

Truthfully,

Taking The Stairs

Lately I have been feeling the need to push myself a little more physically. I do my little "three minute work out" at least once everyday either in the morning or at night depending on when I have the most time (usually at night) but my body has been craving more. Before my recent job switch, I was hitting the gym everyday after work. Working out for me is so much more than the aesthetics, it is time to fantasize and daydream about the things I want to do. When I'm on the elliptical moving and sweating (in my mind) I am Chaka Khan on the stage belting out "Hollywood" or whatever artist I'm listening to at the moment lol:) I digress, but I truly miss working out and find myself wanting to take off in a mean sprint on the way to the car in the morning or down the hall at work. I know that sounds kind of crazy and dramatic but hey its the truth!lol So in an effort to combat my crazy urges to work out or, until I order Socasize or sign up for my new work gym, I'll be taking the steps. Here are a few random pictures from my trips thus far:

My goal is to have pictures of every floor from each stair well in the building by July. I go up and down one flight a day. I am not completely sure how many stair wells we have (it's a big building) but I plan to find out! I encourage any of you, who would like to, to join in with me. Share you pictures. We could all use a girlfriend to share in our walks and compare notes with. Who knows we may even end up sharing a few funny stairwell stories. Whatever the case, I'll be taking the steps. Maybe you will too.

Peace and Light,
